OUR HISTORY
Unson Elementary School of Brgy. Cabanbanan was the first barrio school in Pagsanjan Laguna. It was established in 1921 by the three (3) Barangay Captains of the nearby barangays namely Eustaquio Pagtananan, Brgy. Cabanbanan, Victor Roces, Brgy. Layugan and Andres Cabantog, Brgy. Buboy.
It was built in a school site with an area of 5, 217 square meters, later enlarged by a subsequent donation of 946 square meters from Don Pedro Unson a resident of the poblacion and donor of the original site.
UES opened the opportunity to the pupils from Grade I to Grade IV from 1921-1956. In 1957, Unson Elementary School became a complete Elementary School.
The heads of school from its inception were: Ariang Pacheco, Simeon Zalameda, Silvino Roces, Jacinto Palacol, Felix Manzilla, Benjamin Villaraza, Eulalio Arcena, Eriberto Zaballa Sr., Vicente Estrella, Turiano de Ramos, Guillermo Lagrada, Pedro Maceda, Hernan Velasco, Mrs. Remedios Garcia, Mr. Antonio Llamas, Mr. Dioscoro L. Pono , Mrs. Leonida R. Torralba, Dr. Amada C. Fernandez Mrs. Florentina C. Rancap and the present Principal Mr. Mauro P. Abella, Jr.
Unson is not only big in population but also in its physical aspects. It has 14 buildings, Computer Learning Center, Library, Multi - Purpose Building, Conference Hall, Home Economics Building, SPG Office, PTA Office and Administration Building.
At present, Unson has population of 1, 193 pupils from Kinder to Grade VI with 31 teachers.
Unson has already produced and trained several pupils that are already successful in their chosen field. From then on and now the mission and vision of UES to prepare and train pupils for a bright future and become successful has never changed.

2. Obsevation of classes, coaching and mentoring of teachers observed.
3. Up to date record keeping scheme.
4. Conduct of INSET based on the needs of the teachers.
5. Utilization of GIMP in the provision of visual aids and other teaching materials.
6. Use of teacher-made learning videos in the core subjects.
7. Checking of school forms at the end of every grading period.
8. Encourage teachers to conduct action research to improve the quality of instruction.
9. Conduct of PTA meeting every grading period.
10. Up to date distribution of Form 138.
11. Provision of various activities that will enhance the learners' appreciation of the arts and culture.
12. Timely liquidation of downloaded MOOE Fund.
13.Utilization of technology to improve the delivery of services.
14. Implementation of TEA Governance.
